The Weigh Safe Pintle Attachment is constructed of high strength carbon steel. The bottom portion is chrome-plated and the latch is a matte black powder coating for corrosion resistance. It has an easy latching system to lock/unlock with a safety clip. This pintle attachment is ONLY compatible with our STEEL Weigh Safe Adjustable Drop Hitch. This attachment was designed to be used in ONLY the drop position.
THIS PRODUCT IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH OUR ALUMINUM WEIGH SAFE DROP HITCH AND WAS DESIGNED TO BE USED WITH OUR STEEL PRODUCT LINE ONLY. IF USED WITH ANY OF OUR ALUMINUM PRODUCTS, IT WILL VOID WARRANTY. PLEASE NOTE, WARRANTY WILL ALSO BE VOIDED IF THE PINTLE ATTACHMENT IS USED WITH YOUR HITCH IN THE RISE POSITION.
This pintle attachment is rated at the same ratings as our Steel Weigh Safe Drop Hitch which is 12,500 lbs GTW for the 2″ shank size and 18,500 lbs GTW for 2.5″ shank size.
